The fully automatic ECS 4010 elemental analyzer, ideal for the analysis of homogeneous samples.

It is an instrument for organic elemental analysis based on high-temperature catalytic combustion (Dumas method) for the simultaneous determination of the elements CHNS and optionally O.

The ECS 4010 is the automatic model that represents an evolution of the elemental analysis techniques based on “flash combustion” and chromatographic separation. The combustion gases CO2, H2O, SO2 and N2 are separated in a GC column maintained at a constant temperature, selectable by the user between 30° and 110 °C. The detection and determination of the concentrations of the various elements is carried out by a thermal conductivity detector (TCD).

The ECS 4010 is a fully automated analytical unit, controlled by a microprocessor and interfaced with a computer. The results can be displayed directly via PC using dedicated software.

The ECS 4010 is recommended when you want to analyze particularly homogeneous samples (micro weighing). The ECS 4010 is also recommended in laboratories where many samples are analyzed, thanks to its high degree of automation.

This model is recommended for the analysis of N; CN; CHN; CHNS.

Thanks to the double oven configuration, a better optimization of the catalyst consumption is possible.

The ECS 4010 is composed of three main modules: a sampling/combustion system (two different autosamplers and various types of reactors are available to ensure an always optimized application), the detection system and the data management system.

It is a highly sensitive analysis instrument, very flexible and suitable for applications ranging from the pharmaceutical industry to marine biology, to the petrochemical industry.

The detector (TCD, Thermal Conductivity Detector, with a unique design) is self-calibrating and does not require the use of a reference gas.
