The China Lubrication Technology Forum (2018) was held in Suzhou from September 18th to 19th, 2018. The forum is jointly organized by the Lubricants Magazine of China Petroleum Lubricants Company and the 18th Annual Meeting of the Automotive Fuel and Lubricants Branch of the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineering, aiming to build a professional technical exchange platform for the lubricant industry.
The theme of this forum is "New Era, New Opportunities", attracting more than 300 industry experts from 153 enterprises worldwide, including leaders from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, national ministries, automotive, engineering machinery and other industry associations, and OEM manufacturers, to jointly explore the current situation and future development direction of China's lubricant industry.
The forum is divided into two parts: conference exchange reports and interactive discussions, and there are small exhibitions set up outside the venue. The forum arranged a total of 27 conference reports, which will focus on hot topics in the domestic and foreign lubricant industry, including market and trends, automotive oil, industrial oil, and other topics.
This forum invited two well-known domestic academicians, Jin Donghan and Liu Weimin. Academician Jin Donghan gave a guest speech, and Liu Weimin delivered a speech on "Molecular Science and Engineering Applications of High-Performance Lubricants".
Mr. Jin Zhiliang from the Lanzhou Lubricant Research and Development Center of PetroChina gave a report titled "Lubrication Requirements for Modern Passenger Car Engines and Kunlun Lubrication Solutions", mainly introducing the lubrication technical requirements for gasoline direct injection and turbocharged engines, which involved the oxidation deposition performance tester of TANNAS Company of United States to evaluate the oxidation deposition performance of engine oil.
The MTM micro traction tester from PCS of UK has also been mentioned multiple times in the reports of participating teachers. This instrument can test the friction coefficient of lubricating oil. MTM is a testing method that can quickly evaluate various forms of friction, providing reliable data for lubricating oil research and development.
;
Universal Technology showcased two instruments, the oxidation sedimentation tester from TANNAS of United States and the MTM micro traction tester from PCS of UK. This instrument was not only favored by attending teachers and experts, but also attracted other representatives to come and exchange ideas in front of the Universal Exhibition Stand.
The forum has come to an end, but the pace of development in the lubricant industry will not stop. Our colleagues in the Chinese lubricant industry are working together to strengthen technical exchange and cooperation, continuously improve service quality, and assist in the high-quality development of the lubricant industry.
