Background of the meeting

Universal (Hong Kong) Technology Co., Ltd. has been serving as the general agent for Waukesha Corporation's CFR products in China for over 25 years. Since the introduction of CFR octane rating machines in the 1990s, there have been over 260 users and over 330 instruments used. Our customers have accumulated a lot of experience during the use process and provided us with a lot of valuable suggestions. In order to further improve the product and enhance customer experience, Universal Technology is also continuously collecting feedback and experiences from every customer. Therefore, we invite new and old customers of CFR octane rating machines to communicate and discuss together.

From July 26 to July 27, 2018, the CFR product after-sales training seminar hosted by Universal Technology was successfully held in Zhuhai. More than 30 enterprises and institutions, including Zhuhai Quality Measurement Supervision and Testing Institute, National Petroleum and Petrochemical Product Quality Supervision and Testing Center of Guangdong Huizhou, Hunan Provincial Quality Inspection Institute, Guangzhou Energy Institute, Sinopec Quanzhou Company, Sinopec Wuhan Company, and CNOOC Huizhou Company, were invited to participate.

On the morning of July 26th at 9 o'clock, the seminar was held on time at the Huaxia International Business Hotel in Nanwan, Zhuhai. Mr. Zheng Bo, Manager of Universal Technology's Oil Products Department, delivered a welcome speech, introducing the on-site personnel of Universal Technology to the attending guests and thanking the Zhuhai Quality Supervision Institute for their assistance.

Mr. Tang Haitao, Manager of Universal Technology Branch, introduced the company's development history and the products currently represented by Universal Technology. Ms. Tu Jiong, a product engineer, introduced the history, product composition, and applications of PCS company. The focus is on the latest temperature and humidity control box launched by PCS company, which can meet the requirements of the latest ISO 12156-1 method for temperature and humidity control in October this year.

Mr. Ye Yang, a Universal Technology engineer, introduced the products of CFR, including the definition of gasoline octane number and the principle of combustion knock. Then, He introduced the operation of four stroke cylinders and their related cylinder structures, crankcase structures, valve timing principles and structures, igniter principles and structures, and carburetor principles and structures. Finally, the various parameter menus of XCP software were introduced, as well as how to test samples and display data in the testing menu.

As a senior CFR product expert in the company, Mr. Li Hong gave a technical report on the improvement and difference between the new octane rating machine and the old instrument. He first introduced the history of octane rating machines, explained the widening settings of simulation tables, the differences and connections between A and positive standards, and the difficulties and key points of octane rating machines in testing methods. Then, the comparison between the old model and the new model XCP was introduced, and various questions raised by customers on site were answered.

In the afternoon, Mr. Li Hong continuously introduced the cetane value machine products. Firstly, he explained the history, principle, and structure of the hexadecane number machine. Next, the selection of reference fuel, elements and precautions for handwheel readings, handwheel maintenance, and nozzle calibration were explained. Finally, the accuracy of hexadecane analysis is discussed and analyzed in principle, also compared with the accuracy of octane number analysis in principle. Finally, answer the questions raised by the customers on site.

In the final stage, the customer representative shared their years of experience using CFR and introduced how to maintain the instrument in daily life. Good maintenance, coupled with the excellent quality of the product itself, ensures that it can still function well after many years of use.

On the morning of July 27th, customers visited the Pingsha Laboratory of Zhuhai Quality Measurement Supervision and Testing Institute. Universal Technology technicians explained the structure of the instrument on site, demonstrated its operation, and answered the questions raised by customers one by one.

Through this seminar, the distance between Universal Technology and customers has been narrowed, allowing customers to further understand Universal Technology, the latest product trends, and the knowledge of using old products. In the future, Universal Technology will continue to hold technical seminars across the country to promote technological change and assist the development of the oil industry with a wide range of customers.
