On November 7-9, 2018, the 19th China International Lubricants and Application Technology Exhibition was grandly held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The exhibition is jointly organized by Sinopec Lubricants Co., Ltd., PetroChina Lubricants Co., Ltd., and the Shanghai Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and undertaken by Shanghai International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd. Since the exhibition was held for 18 years, it has served over 2000 exhibitors both domestically and internationally, attracted over 100000 high-quality professional visitors, and held over 150 professional conferences. This exhibition has become a wind vane for the development of China's lubricant industry and is also the largest industry event that brings together professionals related to lubricants both domestically and internationally every year.

Universal Technology, together with its products Quantum rotating oxygen bomb tester, BLB702 low temperature Brinell viscometer, TBS high temperature high shear viscometer, MRV boundary pumping tester, MTM micro traction tester, NOACK S2 evaporation loss tester, TFAB lubricating oil foam property tester, appeared at this exhibition.

At this exhibition, Universal Technology served over 100 customers from lubricant production enterprises, research and development institutions, petrochemical institutes, industry associations, and other units. Every customer showed varying degrees of enthusiasm for the displayed products, in which the Quantum Rotary Oxygen Bomb Tester, BLB702 Low Temperature Brinell Viscometer, and TBS High Temperature High Shear Viscometer attracted high attention.

During the exhibition, the magazine "Lubrication and Sealing" interviewed Universal Technology. Firstly, Mr. Zheng, the manager of the oil department, introduced the new products and technologies brought by the exhibition, the company's service philosophy and future market strategy direction. There are three main points about market strategy: 1. Manufacturers should strengthen product innovation and refinement; 2. Universal should pay attention to bridging the gap between overseas standards and national standards; 3. Universal Technology will pay attention to and assist in the development of ethnic industries.

Then, Ms. Grace, the marketing manager of PCS from UK, highlighted the oil film thickness tester, which can be used to measure the oil film thickness of lubricating oil under elastic fluid dynamic pressure and measure its traction coefficient (friction coefficient). Both tests can be conducted under conditions of sliding friction/rolling friction ratio ranging from 0% to 100%.

Finally, Mr. Gordon, President of Tannas Corporation from United States, introduced the NOACK S2 evaporation loss tester and the TBS high-temperature high shear viscosity tester. The NOACK S2 evaporation loss analyzer is the only evaporation loss instrument that can collect volatile matter and measures the phosphorus and sulfur emission index through the analysis of volatile matter. The TBS high-temperature high shear rate dynamic viscosity analyzer was first developed by Tannas in 1979 and is the world's first high shear rate viscosity analyzer. After continuous upgrades, it has now launched the fourth-generation model, which can be used to measure the viscosity of engine oil in high-temperature and high shear rate environments (HTHS) encountered in actual operation.
